LPL Account View: Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What is Account View?

LPL Account View is an electronic portal through which clients can access their monthly and annual statements online. Among its other features, Account View serves as an archive for tax reporting statements for eligible client accounts, and offers users the opportunity to "go green" by opting out of receiving prospectuses and shareholder communications.

Q: Who can sign up?

If you have investments (advisory accounts, mutual funds, stocks, bonds, or certain IRAs) with Live Oak Financial Services through LPL Financial, you may register to use and access LPL Account View.

Q: How much does it cost?

LPL Account View is free.

Q: Why should I sign up?

LPL Account View allows you to view, research, organize, and analyze your investment accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Account View is:

  • Convenient: Check your accounts anytime you want.
  • Timely: Most types of investments are updated daily, so you can view the latest account values.
  • Safe: Keeps personal information more secure and protects your identity.
  • Good for the environment: Emailed statements use less paper and fewer natural resources.

Q: How to I sign up?

To register, click here. Once the new window opens, click the "Sign Up for Account View" button, then click on "LPL Account View". Once you're registered, simply log in to access your portfolio. (Note: You will need your LPL account number to go online to LPL Account View. If you need your account number, please contact our office or call the LPL Financial Client Services line at 1-800-558-7567.)

Q: Do I have to "go paperless"?

No. Users are not required to sign up for e-mailed statements. LPL Account View users can still receive mailed paper statements and can always opt-in to "go paperless" in the future.

Q: How do I reset my password?

From the Account View login screen select Forgot Password? Enter your username and select Continue. An email will be sent to your email address on file, from, with instructions on how to complete the password reset process. Or, contact our office and we can reset your password for you

Q: I've locked myself out of Account View. What should I do?

To unlock your account without changing your password, contact our office. Otherwise, follow the password reset instructions above.

Q: Can I add another email address to receive notifications pertaining to my statements?

From the Go Paperless screen, select the dropdown arrow located to the right of the statement you would like to edit the recipients on. Select Add Recipient, enter the email address you would like to add and select OK. Please note: recipients will receive notifications informing them that a new statement is ready to be viewed, but you must access Account View to view the actual statement.

Q: The system says an email was sent to me, but I haven't received the email. What should I do?

Check your spam and junk folders to ensure the emails are not there. Add to your contact list or address book to ensure receipt of all emails going forward.

Q: Am I able to use Quicken with Account View?

YES! Account View is compatible with all versions of Quicken since 2011. Your first download will default to inception to date. Subsequent downloads will allow you to change the date range.
